In the spirituality labyrinth an invitation to dance

When you registered you may have noticed a sign saying "Prayer Room" and I'm writing this to encourage you to go there. It's a really beautiful and well-thought out conference resource put together for Council particpants by the Reformed Spirituality Network. Before going in to the room there is a large map of the world for you to post your prayers on post it notes - a simple and low-tech approach - but the number of prayers are growing. The idea being your post your prayer to the part of the world you are praying for.
When you go in to the room there are chairs and a series of different tables inviting reflection; a gentle powerpoint displays images and quotes; you can read, write and touch things; dip you fingers in water, admire colours, read God's word; you can colour in a mandala or try your hand at making something out of modelling clay. There are sheets of paper with quotes and images and prayers to take away. I was in the room late at night but there are people hosting the room discreetly and gently during the day time.
You could also take off your shoes go through this small room and into the dance studio in which a floor labyrinth has been laid out. There are places to rest in the large space, it's quiet and the floor is soft on your dancing feet and you can walk in the labyrinth. You could take a deep breath and dance with God.
Most of all this beautifully put together resource offers us something none of us think we have. Time. Time with ourselves, time with God.
